The chapter books will provide my students with guided reading opportunities in which we can break down and discuss chunks of each story in a small group setting. In addition, my students need more practice with decoding words and identifying specific spelling patterns. With oral reading, students can increase their fluency. The Idiom books will give my students chances to utilize them within their writing after they understand their meanings in a fun and comical way. The Solar System books will give additional exposure to some of the Science curriculum. The donations for this project will provide my students with interesting books that will increase their reading comprehension and create a motivating environment to learn. Please help my students get the books they need in order for them to become better and more independent readers.
