Most of my students' learning about the world comes from within the walls of our school. Every day is a new opportunity to learn something new about themselves and the world. With the variety of cultural backgrounds within my classroom, learning about the happenings in the world is of utmost importance. With Time for Kids my students will be exposed weekly to information about the constantly changing world in which they live. Most of my students are not exposed to quality news articles, they love these magazines and are truly engaged while reading them. This year I am teaching social studies to all three classes of the third grade. I will be teaching 72 students about the world and I plan to use these magazines to teach and expose students to current events.
