Children love to play! They love to move around, engage in chats with their piers and think out of the box. This project is filled with materials that I hope will allow my scholars to experience fun while learning and also build working relationships with their peers. Hands-on, means Brains on! I am hoping that by providing them with manipulatives like legos, they will gain a deeper understanding of area and perimeter and simple machines. I am also hoping that being able to work with a peer and move numbers around with the table top place value pocket chart they will not only understand the concept but have fun learning from each other. Anytime one of my scholars get to pick up a dry erase marker they are immediately engaged, but I feel it also teaches them it is o.k. to make mistakes and learn from them. To start a new. My goal is to provide as many diverse ways to impart education as possible to match all the diverse learners I have.
