Some of our upper grade girls at our school have already gotten their periods. Many of them are just starting or are not fully prepared and comfortable yet with this experience. Many of them also have families who struggle to provide basic needs, and we all know these feminine products can be expensive! Having a school stash of feminine products will ensure that our girls will never be stuck at school feeling embarrassed about stained clothes or nervous about who to ask for help. Also, this will ensure that they can stay in class where they belong instead of stuck in the clinic waiting for a relative, who may not be able to leave their job, to bring them supplies.

About my class
