My school is a Title I school on the eastern shore of Maryland. The demographics of my school area are very diverse. I've noticed since I've worked here how interested my students are in playing instruments. I am sure that my students will really enjoy the opportunity to start band in fifth grade. They are very eager and intrigued when I introduce new musical ideas in class. I'm constantly looking for ways to make a better musical experience for my students, and giving them an elementary band would be an excellent opportunity and experience for them.
