Preschoolers learn best by exploring hands-on activities that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and exploration. We are requesting engaging STEAM materials that encourage creative critical thinking, like kid-sized binoculars and magnifiers. During remote learning we sent home activity bags for each child along with five weekly easy for families, hands-on bilingual activity ideas based on each child’s goals with 2x weekly calls and daily Zoom sessions for connecting and sharing. Feedback was very positive and our children learned. We plan to continue this system when in distance learning. We’ve also moved classrooms and can no longer share some materials in our new location.
