We are a title one school full of independent and outgoing learners. Generally, our students are accepting of one another and celebrate talents and achievements. Resources and technology are hard to come by so any time we get to use technology is celebrated and welcomed. While my job is to help all students, I make sure to observe and enhance modifications and accommodations as needed by the special education students in the classroom. Several students are leery of participating in class or in traditional coursework because of their learning disabilities. When given the opportunity, these students excel at using technology and can often outperform their peers in comprehension and demonstration of advanced concepts.
