I am a Grade 10 English teacher at Southwest High School in Minneapolis, MN, and I am committed to real-world, translatable results for each and every one of my students. In my classroom students strengthen their critical thinking, reading, speaking, and writing skills. We tackle challenging texts as well as develop a life-long love of reading and learning. I provide my students with the critical tools necessary for school and life success. My students reflect the diversity of an urban high school. I emphasize a secure, safe, supportive, and comfortable classroom environment as well as the development of strong peer and teacher relationships.
