Greetings, I'm Ms. Hidas, a special ed teacher at Herbert Slater Middle School in Santa Rosa, CA. I work with seventh grade students. I am primarily a language arts teacher, working with students who have difficulties with reading and writing. I also collaborate with the science and history teachers at Slater. At the end of the day I teach a class called Directed Studies. This class assists students with daily planners, study strategies for upcoming assignments in core classes, and help with homework. Prior to my special ed credential, I obtained my multiple subject credential and taught for many years at an elementary level. I was also a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya prior to teaching.
