My students are going to be in fourth grade. I had the honor of being able to teach some of them last year in third grade. I learned that they have a hunger for learning new things in my science classroom. Every opportunity that I could provide for them to research on the computers or in books that I would check out from the library would be a positive one. I noticed that they do not necessarily get very many hands-on experiences in their home lives so I try to foster this by providing them in my classroom. Our school is a very unique school in that work very hard to incorporate the Environmental Sciences and Performing Arts into the classroom. This helps allow our students to showcase their creativity both in and out of the classroom.
