Our school includes fifth-twelfth grade, and my fifth grade students come from all over the city - with a variety of backgrounds and abilities. Each student is eager to learn and succeed, but with such a diverse classroom, they need to be challenged at different levels. Some students are quickly overwhelmed and discouraged by trying to catch up to the state standards, while other students may become bored in constantly reviewing material that they have already mastered. A medium level pace is not the answer. This project will support our fifth grade Math and Foreign Language teachers to allow students to work on the skills they need.
