Having flexible seating options means that my students will be able to work, listen, and learn in comfortable seating positions. Chair options will include stability balls, Hokki stools, and traditional classroom seating. Balls, stools, and chairs will be shared by all students in the classroom. Flexible seating options will allow students to sustain focus for a longer period of time. Allowing third graders to move a bit and wiggle as they work, assists in student concentration and participation. As students work on different tasks and lessons throughout the day, their seating needs can be adjusted and modified by having more than one seating option.
