It seems like my extremely energetic and active 5th grade students need to be moving at all times! While I try to provide active lessons with them out of their seats, there are definitely those unavoidable times when students are sitting for long periods of time. Providing access to alternative, ergonomically seating solutions like Hokki Stools and Sensory Balls can increase their attention spans and stimulate their minds. The chairs allow for movement from all directions, which is critical to student development as physical movement both increases well-being and encourages the physical and intellectual maturing process.
