My students are brilliant scholars who in are thriving in an urban environment. Despite some of the challenges they face daily in some of their home environments, they come to school eager to learn and ready to accomplish their daily tasks and goals. One area that is extremely important to me is literacy. Literacy is the foundation in which all other subjects are built upon. I explain to my students how crucial reading is needed in order to make growth in their academics. There are various books that cater to the interest of every student in a classroom. Each student can feel successful at reading something, whether it is for academic purposes or for pleasure. I would like to create a quality classroom library filled with a variety of books, magazines, etc. that caters to the needs of every student in my classroom. I want to build a library corner, in which the students can relax and take pleasure in the material that they are engaged with. I am working hard to make this a spectacular experience for these students that will keep them consistently wanting to learn and grow more through literacy. With your support and generosity, I will be able to provide my students will quality reading material that will keep them engaged and pushed them towards greater success in literacy. Any donations towards building a remarkable library for these students will be greatly appreciated. The students will always be the best, and they deserve the best!
