My 15 students (ages 5 through 13) have a wide range of special needs and challenges, and for most of them, sitting in a classroom and focusing on math, reading, or science is very challenging. Last year I started teaching yoga to my students to help them get energized and improve their ability to focus on school work. Yoga helps those with sensory processing problems improve their motor skills, core strength and balance. And yoga seems to help all my students gain flexibility, mind-body awareness and confidence.

About my class
