I teach a class of 25 4th graders, both boys and girls. My students are truly great kids! They come to me excited and ready to learn. Most of my students come to me already loving school. They are kids that make my job fun and make it easy for me to go to work each day! My students are kids who truly appreciate unique opportunities, as often they only get these at school. My students come from a lot of low income families. I teach at a school where the free and reduced lunch rate is over 70%. We hold a fall festival that raises most of the classroom funds each teacher has access to to purchase their classroom supplies. This usually results in each teacher getting $150 (some years are a little more, others are a little less).
