Each day I have a diverse group of 4th graders who not only need a quality education but at times need the simple necessities of life. This can be a stumbling block for many of them as they try to be successful in class while dealing with personal issues that are out of their control. As the teacher, I strive to create a community of learning in my classroom where they feel safe and cared for. As we spend each day with one another I try to add to their knowledge as well as their self-worth, finding something unique in each of them.

About my class
