My students will use their tablets to reinforce their skills in language, reading and math, through the use of academic apps. I am able to set individual goals for each student in the academic apps we use. I am then able to collect the data and use that data to reinforce what they have learned and also identify where their skills are lacking. I will also use calming apps to help with their high energy needs. In previous schools I have had the opportunity to use this technology to help my special students. It has shown great success in helping them learn in a way that is fun to them. My students do not have access to technology in their homes, therefore, they are behind their peers in technological academic strategies.
