This school year we are switching to the new National Arts Standards which require students to use art creation as a fundamental part of the standards. The paints would be used for multiple painting projects for all the students throughout the school year. The tempera paints in the cakes for my younger artists and the acrylic paints for our older artists projects. All kids love to paint and I love to teach many different painting techniques to all grade levels from Kindergarten to the Eighth grade. The pencil sharpeners will be used for easily sharpening pencils and colored pencils conveniently at the tables during their creation time.
During the school year I teach approximately 700 students and 9 grade levels.
While I do try to conserve, clean, and teach an appreciation to keeping things nice and recycling the art room does go through a lot of supplies and a lot of little hands. Occasionally, things do need to be replaced or replenished. However, the budget in the art room is very limited per student for the year. These supplies would allow for the students to continue doing their art projects for the entire 2016 - 17 school year.
