Teaching world history is a struggle for my 7th grade students. Many of my students have not been outside Memphis. Many students find history boring and are not able to relate to the places that we discuss because they have never been there and we are not able to travel there. My students need iPads, Google boxes, and iPod Touches in order to take virtual field trips overseas that otherwise would not be possible. Currently the 7th grade curriculum focuses on places like Rome, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia etc. I was introduced to VR today. By helping fund this project you are allowing my students to travel the world and get to see places they otherwise wouldn't be able to. Every dollar will help.
