Many of the students I teach have a strong interest in learning about real world topics. I have a library filled with fiction books but my students are eager to read and engage with wonderful nonfictions texts. Nonfiction texts allow my students to explore the world from our classroom. The texts will be used to help teach students about various careers, countries and even disabilities of others. Some students I teach do not leave our area, these books will engage them with text about other places besides our city and country.
