This project is to help update our dramatic play center and puzzles in our fine motor center. Our students love their dramatic play center, but it's under-furnished. They love to sit and play together with baby dolls, but right now they are sitting on the ground. We would like to get funding for a child sofa in our dramatic play. Funding this project will help facilitate improved play skills and understanding for our students with disabilities to work on cooperative and symbolic play by having more realistic furnishings in our dramatic play center. We would also like to update our puzzles. The ones we have right now are not socially and culturally appropriate for our population. Having motivating puzzles will help our students with disabilities who need fine motor support gain more motivation to continue practicing and working towards their IEP goals.
