My campus is a title school, with low income families, and all students receive free breakfast/lunch. My classroom consist of 22 second-graders that are 7-8 years old. My kids are wanting to learn, but come to school with many distractions and little home support. Some students wake themselves up, attempt to complete homework independently, and feed themselves. My school provides mentors and extra support, to assist what our students are faced with. I try and create a classroom that has a positive learning environment with engaging lessons, respectful students, and students who feel safe.

About my class
