Our school is made up of a delightful blend of children-those who have little, those who have it all, and everyone in between. My classroom is comprised of students who have special needs, students who are gifted, students who are performing on grade level, and those who are below-level. Despite their personal and academic differences, they come to school full of excitement and expectation for a day of learning, ready to collaborate with each other in a fun, creative, and fast-paced environment. Yet, my school doesn't have the resources to provide each of these students the technology that would enhance their opportunities for engaging activities that they deserve as 21st Century learners. Lewis has recently been designated Title I, meaning many of our students qualify for free/reduced lunch. Unfortunately, this translates to students in my class who do not have access to technology that they need to learn necessary skills for their future. I would love to help bridge this gap.
