Ours school is the poorest Title I school in our district. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Sadly, much of our population receives some form of federal assistance and resides with family members other than biological parents for a plethora of socioeconomic and personal reasons. Our students are role models, despite their great socioeconomic disadvantages. Our school was recently awarded PBIS status after years of close calls, and our faculty is committed to using this model to stretch a sense of camaraderie beyond our walls throughout our tightknit community. Our students thrive through structure that is sometimes seemingly chaotic, but structured nonetheless. Our school is deemed one of the safest in our district, and this is due to the extrinsic care and concern our students display for one another on a daily basis, not just in times of crises.
