In Pre-K, these items will be used to teach vocabulary and help students speak in complete sentences. Also, students will learn how to take turns, share responsibility, and creatively solve problems. Lastly, these items will allow students to "walk in someone else's shoes," which will help students learn the skill of empathy. Young children learn by pretending. The process of pretending builds skills in many essential developmental areas: language skills, social-emotional skills, and thinking skills. This class was an add-on class, so we are missing these items to complete our center.
