My classroom is part of a turn-around school in a high-poverty neighborhood. It was a happy day when I found this older reading table in an unused classroom two years ago. Alas, one leg on this table, which we use multiple times a day, has collapsed repeatedly. While it has been repaired a number of times the bottom of the table has been weakened and does not hold the screws adequately. It needs to be propped up by bins and books in order for us to feel it can support safely the weight of students who use it for everything from reading and writing to science experiments. We would be very grateful to have a new reading table that would allow my very active students to participate in group activities without worrying about the table breaking!
