The students that will enter my third grade classroom in the fall will come to me with various reading abilities. I'm on a mission to build a library of classroom level readers for my third graders because I have been teaching first grade for the past 7 of my 14 years of teaching and will now be starting from scratch. I struggle to provide my students with what I can by going to garage sales and surplus book stores. The purpose is to have many new books at different lexile levels that will increase their fluency and pass IREAD-3.
