Through enhanced audio, my students will be able to be clearly heard in performance. The students currently perform in a cafeteria where machines buzz over the sound of their voices, and the space swallows up sound instead of helping to project it. Through getting a set of microphones, the students will be able to be heard clearly. The students are timid actors still, and they're still learning a lot about who they are as performers and often have trouble focusing on projection at this point in their acting study. Microphones will help to alleviate a lot of stress and anxiety the students have about performance. Instead of stressing about volume, they can dedicate time focusing on their own individual acting skills and the areas they are individually nervous about. The students take so much time to put together their show; they deserve technology that will help enhance their efforts. Please help their voices be heard! The students will get to experience a more professional sound quality in their performance. Through getting to use microphones, the students will learn maturity in their backstage behavior and will be able to focus on building their skills as a young actor without stressing about volume. Students can instead focus on intention and clarity instead of straining to be heard.
