Many elementary students face many anxieties, traumas, grief, and other difficult emotions regularly. Oftentimes, young students internalize their emotions due to inability to verbalize them. Through the use expressive arts, interactive games, and play, I hope to support these students in the most fun, effective, and therapeutic way possible! My overall goal is to help support the social, emotional and academic needs of all students, particularly those struggling with social, emotional, and economical barriers to success. With these expressive art supplies and therapy based board games, students can find ways to express and cope with big emotions in a positive way. This, in return, will yield greater academic success in the classroom and as future citizens within the community. Thank you for considering my project! About my class
