My students come from one of the poorest districts in Massachusetts. They come from working class families that value education, but sometimes it is not the priority. Some of my students are Arabic Refugees that came to America because of war or natural disaster. The students that my school district could not reach often join gangs or depend on the system and are not capable to be productive citizens. The school I work at is a new public school that is trying to level the achievement gap between urban and suburban schools. We as a school are committed to improve the quality of education for all of our students.
