All of my students speak English as their second language. This is a challenge when it comes to the classroom because not all students are ready for 2nd grade. I work with them one on one and in groups to help boost their language skills in the classroom. All of them are very eager to learn English and other skills. They are a great group of kids to work with and everyday is exciting and new. My students really like working with their hands, so any type of manipulative is helpful for them. They also really like to read and write their own stories. My school is a tight little group. We all work together and help each other out.
