My school is a Title One school where all of our students are on free or reduced lunch. My 5th grade class is taught in a portable where there isn't enough room to have a whole library accessible as well as room on the carpet for kids to sit. The students benefited greatly from this reading series and I saw significant gains. They enjoy reading, talking about what they read, and using self-monitoring for comprehension.
