I have several students who have been asking to read these series since the beginning of the school year. These books are graphic novels. They'll be used for my students who are what we call "reluctant readers." With almost every class, there is usually a group that just don't enjoy reading. They lack some some basic reading skills that make reading not enjoyable. Graphic novels are easier to read and easier for students who are not proficient with visualizing. These books often act as a bridge to "normal" books. Help me bring the love of reading to all my students.
