My students will be challenged to talk about math this year. They will gather together daily to discuss numbers. Adding a large carpet to our number corner will make the space more welcoming for all children to learn. The carpet will cover a large space on the side of the classroom where our daily math program is set up. Creating a number corner in our classroom will provide students with a designated math area to align with our new curriculum. The students will use the space to have conversations about math during whole group and small group instruction. In addition to math talk, the students will also have a new space to play math games.
