Supersizing the graphic novel collection means increasing our current collection of just 385 books for a student population of just over 2200. Supersizing the collection also means that more students have the opportunity to read more graphic novels during their four years in high school. It's no secret that graphic novels are popular and ignoring this format would be a disservice to our students. Our library needs a larger selection for students to choose from. California Common Core Standards and the American Association of School Librarians require students to read across a variety of media, including graphic novels.
