I teach 6th-8th grade literature. My students have become more interested in reading (YAY!) and need higher interest books for my classroom library. I asked my classes for genre suggestions and title suggestions. I try to foster Kelly Gallagher's reading and writing strategies within my classroom. My students have a reading challenge each year to see which class can read the most pages. The students exceeded my page goal and have read most of my classroom library books! I am excited to see what the next year brings with my new classroom library and classroom novels. Reading is so important in life. I want my students to become lifelong readers and learners!
