My students are overcoming obstacles such as being English Language learners, having to work two jobs after school, taking care of their family members, poverty, learning disabilities, sleep deprivation, etc. 54% of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch. They are working hard to learn what they can, and I would like to watch them continue in their path towards becoming successful high school students and, some day, college graduates.
