I am the Guidance Counselor in a Title I school and 100% of the students qualify for free breakfast and majority qualify for free or reduced lunch. Many students come from a diverse population with "military families", special needs, ESOL, and many of my students speak a language other than English at home. They face many challenges on a daily basis that could distract their learning, yet they still have an eagerness for learning and are always enthusiastic to gain new knowledge. Most of my students do not have access to technology on a daily basis, and they get excited hearing that they may get an opportunity to use technology in their learning. Being an outdated school in technology, my goal is to make updated access to technology happen to provide new ways of learning and to incorporate all subject areas in the curriculum, including character education.
