Our elementary school is a Title 1 school, where over 90% of our families fall below the poverty level. Many come without the background knowledge that many children in other schools have. Many of our students may not have supplies. We are pleased to say that our students come eager to learn and ready to perform. Pre-K classes in our school have a maximum of 18 children. Each Pre-K classroom has one certified teacher and an assistant. We learn in large group mode, but spend most of our time working in small groups or individually with the children. It's important to have many activities available for group sessions and also for the children as the work in centers.
