Many students haven't been able to purchase a calculator for themselves and depend on me to provide these. A classroom set would allow students to have a designated calculator meaning they no longer have to share and spread germs, and allows for contact tracing for those who share a calculator class over class. Using a calculator can make a huge difference in confidence while tackling the complex math concepts that students begin learning about as they move in to Jr High math. They don't get hung up on math operations that would prevent them from accessing the math I am teaching.
