Please help me provide my students with a variety of interactive books, games and motivational activities to engage and encourage them during speech therapy services. I want to bring joy and fun into their speech therapy session to help increase speech and language skills and create a positive experience as they learn to develop their communication skills! Children learn the best while they’re having fun! That’s why books, games and motivational activities are an essential part of therapy. Speech-language skills occur naturally as the children are answering questions and interacting while reading books and playing games, we work on language comprehension, practicing their speech sounds, and using strategies to help fluency. We work on practicing social skills during turn taking games while we learn about good sportsmanship, staying on non-preferred topics, managing emotions and personal space. We use books to also help them see other children with their same challenges and strengths.
