I teach in a very small school in Oklahoma. The majority of my students come from low income families. 89% of the students in my school qualify for free lunches. As the only Special Education teacher for the Jr High and High School I see a wide variety of students. From students with Autism to students who have learning disabilities, I help them all. A typical day for me would involve me working one on one with many different students. Sometimes I am reading to one students while another student sits and reads quietly. Very often I have students from different grades in my room at the same time. It becomes difficult to assist a 7th grader and a senior simultaneously but I do my best.
