The students are having a hard time focusing after the last year and a half of interrupted learning. Having engaging manipulatives and learning games will help students to focus and excel in their learning. We have included in our request different items that will help each grade level to practice the skills they need. when students can engage in learning with hands on materials, they can connect the skills they are learning in the way they learn best, be it auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. We have the alphabet magnet letters and boards and the tiny alphabet boxes to help kindergarten students cement the letter names and sounds in their minds. We have ordered rhyming materials to go onto the next step with kindergarten to help them understand how letters work in words. We have sight word and syllable materials to help them as they learn to pull words apart and put them back together. All these skills are necessary for students to learn to read well. We need these extra tools in a time of COVID learning interruptions to help our students to reach their learning goals.
