My students cannot sit still and I need to capitalize on that! I want to create an environment that is adaptive to their needs and support how they learn. Not every child can learn sitting in a chair at a desk; some need to bounce, or wiggle, while others need to lay down. I want my students to walk into my classroom and feel free! I want them to walk into my room and say, "Yes! I can do this! I want them to feel like they belong and that my classroom can adapt to any type of learning style they may have. My classroom will give them something to look forward to, something positive, a breath of fresh air during their schedule-packed days. I am asking for a variety of flexible seating options. What works one day, may not work the next day for my students; therefore, I am asking for a few seating options to use as flexible seating. I have asked for student sized recliners to offer a calming and comfortable sitting area, balance balls, and wobble seats to allow students to move during seat work. These items will promote a positive environment for students to complete work that adapts to their learning needs. I greatly appreciate any help and I know my students will too! It will give them something to look forward to everyday.
