If I could describe my classroom in five words, they would be: encouraging, flexible, supportive, engaging, and community. Students in my classroom have ownership of their own learning and an eagerness to do so. Every student in my classroom aims to be respectful, safe, and responsible. Creating community is essential. I care about my students and they know it. Taking the time to learn about my students, not just as learners, but also as people, has helped to create a real sense of belonging in our shared space.
