The use of technology is almost a daily activity in my students' lives. Using Imagine Learning (an age-appropriate vocabulary and language building program) has been a great resource in my district. We have a 70%+ English Language Learning community so having our students use the program has been vital to student success.
As valuable as technology is, as 4k teachers we recognize that it is important for our students to continue to develop their fine motor skills. Our students complete the Imagine Learning program on iPads. Today's children are so acclimated to using technology, but with iPads children would often use their finger for touching the screen. By having kids use a gummy stylus, students will be able to appropriately use the iPad program while still developing their fine motor skills and hand strength.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student fine motor development, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn .
