My students are members of a robotics team in a high school in Georgia. Our school is urban and very diverse with a rich mix of students from across the cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic spectrum. Our team is very proud of the fact that close to 50% of our team are girls. As a FIRST Robotics team, we don't just build robots. We are passionate about inspiring other students to pursue STEM aspirations. We exhibit at elementary and middle schools. We host tournaments at our school. We train and mentor younger students from across the city. This group of students is a quirky, passionate team that embraces all students. We work hard, strive for excellence, and have a lot of fun!
