Having storytelling kits and various tools to access stories will assist students in preschool to comprehend and visualize story sequences. My project will make a difference because these students would have access to a variety of stories and materials in order to promote strong narrative skills to close the literacy gap. During my circle, we practice listening and speaking using cooperative learning strategies with visual and auditory models. In addition, fingerplays and tactile materials facilitate the recall of story components. Visuals support students by giving them opportunities to match corresponding pictures and answering questions related to short narratives and picture books.
