My Intensive Reading class is made up of students who struggle with passing a standardized reading test due to many different reasons. These reasons include but are not limited to: learning disabilities, ESOL, unstable home environment, testing anxiety, etc. The majority of my 10th grade students have never finished reading an entire novel or enjoyed it for that matter. Also, many of them have not been exposed to reading in a positive way.

About my class
